Bump, Set, Spike!
So for spiking you need to know what an approach is (basically it is steps you take to get to the ball in the air). You need to time when you think the ball is in the right position for you to hit it. And that is why you have an approach. Never spike with your finger tips, if you do then, you will most likely brake or injure your fingers. You should always hit with your palm, not the whole entire palm but the bottom half. Never hold back when you are spiking, you always want to follow through and not have your arm stop halfway because then you will not have as much power (unless you are very close to the net). If you are very close to the net you can tip it over or fake tip.

GO!
When ever i play volleyball, i all ways try to stay calm. It may sound kind of weird but i believe if you stay calm you have more control over the ball. And your not so jittery with the ball.

Setting
When ever I set up the ball for someone to hit, I always use these quick tips to remind me. First, I remember to make an open diamond with my hand and I gently touch my hand with the ball, but only the finger tips of my hands touch the ball. (If you touch the ball with your palm, then it will be called a lift by the Reff and you do not want that because the other team gets the point.)
